Commercial property under personal name or company name

I often have clients interested in purchasing commercial property as part of their investment portfolio due to the high yield.
Many of them often ask – should i put under my company or personal name? Is there a difference in interest rate?

I usually recommend client to buy under company name due to the GST rebate. Im not the best person to advise on the GST rebate. You need to consult your accountant or corporate secretary to do so.

There is not much difference in commercial interest rate if you are purchasing as a company or individual. The bank mainly look at the property you are buying (commercial or residential) than who is buying it.
